Music Festivals

I'm going to need some recommendations for Friday and Sunday but otherwise Saturday is stacked
Best lineup in several years I'd say. Saturday is definitely stacked. Here's what I'm seeing before running through it in detail...

Fri: Rage, RTJ, King Gizzard, Charli XCX, GRiZ, Chicano Batman, IDLES, Daphni, Peggy Gou, Tokimonsta, Amyl & the Sniffers

Sat: Thom Yorke, Flume, Danny Elfman, Caribou, Black Coffee, Yaeji, Hot Chip, DJ Koze, Floating Points, Freddie Gibbs & Madlib, Badbadnotgood, Snail Mail, Steve Lacy, Weyes Blood, Seun Kuti & the Egypt 80, 100 gecs (for the lols), black midi, Fontaines DC, The Comet Is Coming

Sun: Frank Ocean, FKA twigs, Fatboy Slim, Duck Sauce, Bedouin, Crumb

No way I'll see all those on Saturday of course, but hopefully the schedule will be kind for the ones I really want to see.

Are you doing weekend 1 or 2?

Forever weekend 2.

I don't think I'm camping this year though. Kinda over it.

Weekend two here as well. We've never camped. Staying at the Caliente Tropics, which is a tiki hotel in Palm Springs. We've stayed there once before.

The only thing that excites me about this is the prospect of these artists hanging around the midwest/southeast for 2 weeks around the festival and hitting up other cities.

Otherwise, not my cuppa tea. Too many artists that I've seen and don't need to see again, and not enough new that would make me want to go.
Same here. I am in east TN, so likely to get some left overs. Also we lost our #2 festival in town (no, Big Ears is still on) and that might get us some more love.

Primavera lineup is freaking nuts!

faaack and all the other promoters need to be taking notes. I feel like the European festival invasion this year is gonna play out well (and in a more exciting way than the reverse with all the Lollas), and I hope that the vibe reverberates with some of the majors.

wish these dates didn't overlap with my other big events!

Bunbury in Cincy usually shares at least 1 headliner with Gov Ball. I am hoping it's NOT Tame Impala, because I believe the radius clause for Bunbury includes NE Ohio. Since I probably won't be going to Bunbury, I need to see them in Cleveland or Columbus. When they were at Bunbury last, a severe t-storm hit 1 song in and they cancelled the set after 2-3. That's the only time I've seen them.

Curious to see what Primavera LA drums up
