My Morning Jacket

What was even "deluxe"? Is it just the foil jacket and animated label? I'm starting to think the Merlot wave looks pretty nice.
Yeah, I think the foil jacket and label were the main things.

My initial confirmation email said I would receive by tomorrow, so I'm a little disappointed that didn't turn out to be true... hopefully it'll at least ship tomorrow.

Yep that’s all that makes it deluxe. Also it’s limited to a specific number of pressings, but it’s not numbered or anything

My deluxe came in from Bull Moose, pretty happy with the way it came out overall. Foil jacket is pretty nice as well. Throwing it on now.

Edit: nothing mind-blowing but mine sounded pretty good. Sounded solid to me.

I actually ended up cancelling my deluxe for the Merlot. The foil jacket was the best part but I can live without the others. It looks like something went wonky with manufacturing the deluxe. Like the pellets weren't evenly distributed or something (I'm pretending I know a single thing about the process.)

I was curious and reached out to Bullmoose on why the actuals are so far off from the mocks.

They mentioned they were gonna reach out to the “buyers” and look into it.

Not sure what that means or what to expect.

Vinyl pre-order mockups are the new airbrushed centerfolds.
You'll probably just hear something about how the pressing plant did something different and mock ups don't always represent the actual product though they try and be as accurate as possible. That's what I got back when the latest Gordi album looked nothing like the mock-up.

Okay, "Feel You" notwithstanding, is "Run It" the best song on the album?
Feel You is definitely still my favorite.

I'm partial to "Still Thinkin", the Pink Floyd breakdown at the 2:50 mark does it for me.
I also like how it just kind of resolves on that minor cord...kind of lends it self to a "Still Thinking -> [Insert Your Favorite MMJ song here]" on the live set list.
