Were there more interest in the AOTM threads, and more people signed up it wouldn't run the risk of Kris getting a second pick so soon after the first, but as it stands we don't currently have enough people signed up to even see us through to the end of this calendar year - so I don't see it as being much of an issue. But I can also ensure you go before Kris if you'd like, and nobody else objects. That's easy enough to do too.

I guess if it's only Kris it's not too big of a deal, I was just worried you were starting to let any duplicate threadster join in when there were still a handful of us who hadn't been picked for round 2.

Having said that, we're getting to a point where it might not be a bad idea to start soliciting people to put their names in the hat for round 3, once we finish off the current list.
 
Update: at this point before starting my first thread a few years ago I had the album picked out with a dozen different links for people to purchase it from, the OP fully written out, and all of the clues saved in a folder on my desktop ready to be revealed at my leisure.

Me today, with less than a week to go before starting next month's thread: huh, I wonder what album I should pick. 🥴

Yep, I put that on after One World had finished and I was floored! Sits firmly in the british singer songwriter tradition alongside Scott Walker and Nick Drake but with a fun funk streak. Discovery of the year so far! And I've obviously been missing out by not following the N&G AOTM stuff. Will try to correct that error!

First off @Whiteout75 and @dbarila , this post is in no way meant to be shaming or anything like that. I quote you merely because your posts on Martyn spurred the following…

@avecigrec maybe we should consider opening a poll or other thread in the general music forum. Three fold purpose:
1. Drum up some attention
2. Get people to sign up to pick
3. Get some ideas on how to generate interest

@Whiteout75 and @dbarila aren’t exactly nonparticipating members of the community.
