N&G Secret Santa - 2020

I have got to say @Ponman2003, you have slammed it out of the freaking park with these picks! All classics in their own regard, I can’t wait to blast STAAAAAAARRRRMAANNNNN.

It also came with a handwritten letter, which, @Ponman2003, I hope you and your family are doing well, especially considering the uncertainty of these times. It sounds like the letter was written around Thanksgiving? I hope you’ve gotten to see your family recently because I can’t imagine the thought of being separated from mine like that, even with how different I am from my family.

I also appreciate the words of kindness and forgiveness in the letter regarding my *ahem* history with this forum. At the end of the day N+G is one family I wouldn’t want to hurt, as they have given me so much.

Back to the albums, I will be listening to these albums happily, when I HOPEFULLY get a new record player come Christmas Day. I unfortunately haven’t been listening to many records recently because something is wrong with my ATLP60, in that it loops on EVERY record I play.

Not only did I get 2 handpicked, on the nose, selections from someone who has a better than most handle on my tastes but also some lovely postcards of places significant to her with handwritten notes on the back of each. Also, also, some most excellent mudflap lady style stickers in the likeness of Velma!

yea! so glad they made it before you scooted out the door. the stores I used allow exchanges if there are any major issues with these. (and I spaced on your wantlist, so apologies.)

also, I'm slightly offended that you don't think I'd rush coal to you from North Pole, AK when I realized one of the records was late. you *are* the naughty list, dear.

TBH, the list of potential coal senders was so long I couldn't begin to identify the culprit. You were on it, though. I actually thought it possible I got pulled from the N&G Santees list altogether and just sent coal directly from @Needles & Grooves . The look I got from my wife when she asked who would send that and I said any one of like 20 people...

Your picks and personal touch were really remarkable. I feel seen.

Big hugs! I love those 3 records so much and I was kind of thrilled to see them all on your wantlist. Sorry if the letter was a little mopey. Life really is very good.

Hope the LP60 comes back to life ASAP and you can get back to spinning.

Thanks for the records, I have to say sadly the LP60 may be on its death knell. I tried to listen to a PIF of facelift that FINALLY got delivered from USPS that @scotthilk sent. The songs sounded INCOMPREHENSIBLE. It sounded like avant-garde glitch music or something. so now I’m more hopeful that I got a new record player, which I believe I may be right in assuming
