Fun fact: I recently discovered that Lou Bega is down to perform at weddings and he charges £38,000 which includes premium economy airfare for him and 4 female backup singers/dancers, for a 40 minute set.

I just think it's really humble of him to only ask for a premium economy flight instead of first class. Couldn't quite sell my fiancée on the idea of Lou Bega for $40k. I'd bet almost anything that he starts and ends the set with Mambo No. 5.

The photo apparently was taken at the Mariott Hotel in Amsterdam, Netherlands on 28th November 1987. So maybe a reference to Amsterdam mentioned in a song?

but I believe that's the path to follow.
I'm guessing something related to Ian McKaye, but I'm not yet sure on what exactly?
one of his other bands? Minor Threat maybe
one of the groups he collaborated with? Ministry perhaps
or one of the bands he produced.... Bikini Kill, Rollins Band...
