Neverending Covid-19 Coronavirus

Is Biden that bad? Because sometimes I think Donny needs a translator alongside him because that isn’t the English language that I know!

He isn't that bad, but I think he has dementia. We really know how to pick them in America. He won't be any worse than listening to George W.

No, Joe Biden mispeaks ALOT. He’s a stutterer and though he has overcome the actual stutter still can lead to him mixing his words, he is usually quick to correct his mistakes as it registers but it can lead so some awkward sound bites. Our Current President often lies and misspeaks but instead of correcting his errors he usually denies they were mistakes or flat out lies and will often double-down on the lies knowing that people commonly show deference to the President. Trump also commonly loses his train of thought and goes off an unrelated tangents and repeats himself ad nausium. It’s a myth perpetrated by both the far left ad far right that Biden is mushbrained but you would need to actually watch him speak in context as opposed heavily edited clips that can easily make him look like he is suffering from dementia. He is not and held his own in every debate he took part i.

Fair play. While all that is undoubtedly true about Trump (I still find it hilarious that your worst ever President’s surname is slang for Fart over here) he isn’t just a liar and a meanderer but he has a bizarre relationship with the language. Sometimes I hear him and he massacres even the most simple of ideas and sentencea.

If you were to remove partisanship from his messaging and just look at the syntax of what he is saying his rhetoric often confounds. One of his verbal “tells” I have noticed is that when he is speaking and offers of some “fact” and begins the statement with “a lot of people don’t know...” I have come to realize that usually translates in Trumpspeak to mean “I just found out” and once you realize that, it is usually equal parts comical and horrifying how ill-informed the leader of the free world actually is.

So Canada just added a rapid portable test (less than 1-hr) to its arsenal. Deployment starting today. This should help ramp up testing quite a bit.

Lessons from Singapore:

Do have a strong government leadership that your rather small and contained population lives in perpetual fear and obedience to.
Do have a natural water border around all sides of your rather small land mass making monitoring and control of it a relatively simple endeavor.
Don't lay claim to success too early!

Just a few weeks later, much of this information is already out of date, no?
Also, about that first cartoon, I think the emerging data that shows 25-50% of all cases are asymptomatic means that guidance is not aging really well. In a more recent interview, Dale Fisher still doesn't seem to be recommending constant mask use (because of the false sense of security it provides, not because it's useless), but seems to say that you shouldn't be getting into crowded elevators in the first place:
PPE use in the general public is ridiculous. Most people are misusing so badly when I’m out and about that I’d just assume they stopped. Masking isn’t really about not getting it but ensuring you don’t spread it. These people walking in the streets with n95s are ridiculous. The Costco employee with his gloved hands in his pockets kills me. The lady who gets out of her car wearing gloves and rummages through her purse. The dude wear gloves at the gas pump who gets in his car starts it up and drives off while still wearing his gloves. These people are basically infecting everything they own with god knows what. Even at the hospital, I had to file a report so I could get the folks in the cafeteria and the gift shops to stop handling everything with the same pair of gloves.
