Neverending Covid-19 Coronavirus

I wonder if you can still order from third party sellers on amazon and have it ship now.
If I can get it at the pharmacy on the way home, fuck it. I was mostly trying to avoid unneeded contact with human beings because everyone has lost their damn minds and insists on touching my stuff with gloves they’ve been wearing for god knows how long.

Is everyone really just going to sit back and be cool with them saying over and over again that the stock market tanking and unemployment being high for a while is worse than millions of people dying?

For about half of Americans, yes.

Last nights Coronavirus task fore meeting was about how we can get Americans back to work next week.

Trump saw the effects that this is having on the economy and he's not happy.

So far this Town Hall on Fox News is about how we can open America back up, putting America back to work.

How is this not a big deal? How can it be politics whether one thinks we should just sit back and let people die because we weren't prepared to figure out both how to prevent the spread of a pandemic and keep the stock market going up. They are admitting that they didn't govern our country well enough to prevent a pandemic as well as any other country and saying, tough shit people, just lay down and die for the good of the economy.

So 1 positive and 4 pending tests on my floor last night.

Short on masks and gowns.

One patient that is pending result has been on our floor for a week before having any symptoms (admitted for unrelated diagnosis)....he wasn't on any isolation precautions before yesterday.

That's at least 10 staff possibly exposed.

I understand that “extraordinary circumstances call for extraordinary measures and all, but is anybody else at all bothered by the very idea of needing travel papers to move about? Regardless of how justified one may feel it is, doesn't something about cause even the smallest visceral reaction? Just a little bit of a recoil, a feeing like something’s wrong?
Yes, that irritates me. But I also can wrap my head around the concept that something that irritates me may also be for the greater good.

sadly this seems to be a common scenario across many hospitals/health facilities

Pence just said that in Italy the average age of contacting this virus is 60. No one has died under the age of 30.

Is there any evidence to back that up? I don't believe that there have been no deaths under the age of 30.

Oh...I have no doubt that it is happening everywhere.

Testing is still behind...needing to have symptoms or have traveled outside the country - which makes no sense anymore as this virus is here - you don't need to travel or be around someone who traveled to get it anymore.

So the approach the Trump administration appears to be taking is that this is a disease that effects only the elderly.

Let's get everyone under the age of 40 back to work. This virus is no big deal to them.

Let's have the vulnerable population stay at home and fend for them selves.

It fails to acknowledge that Millennials are being hit hard, harder than expected and ending up in the ICU's and on respirators. Sure they are less likely to die, but this is no joke.

I have also heard reports that they now think we have a deadlier version of the virus here in the States than in other countries. Also the US has already seen deaths of people younger than what the rest of the world has seen.
