I think so many people are like 'F this, I gotta get to work' that the Governor's orders are basically being ignored by a large portion of the population.

As I was typing this post, I've gotten a bunch of texts from coworkers about how busy we are. Like, I'm needed there because we're falling behind. I don't know what to do.

Do you mind me asking what it is you do? I'm feeling the pressure myself. I work in a Data Center and I'm still coming in, in fact it was "Highly suggested" we work ten hour days, so I'm doing that too. I feel like if I don't I'm the asshole letting everyone else down. =(

Capitalism is making us, somewhat, grateful that we still have jobs and may not need to worry about losing income. If you do not come in contact with a lot of people at your job (not public facing) I guess that's a good thing that you're still working?? I don't know.

I'm grateful that I'm working from home, but talk to people daily running essential businesses (Car Dealerships, sales mostly closed, service still deemed essential) and am torn between being happy that they are still open so I can be employed but also upset because they're likely making things worse by spreading the virus.
 
MN finally issuing shelter in place rules by the end of the week.

The governor really did an excellent job explaining things here, making it specific to the state. "it's too late to flatten the curve... our attempt is to move the infection rate out" "prop-up the medical facilities" "when the second wave of infection comes then we will have a chance to flatten the curve"

Remember the Louisiana pastor who defied the governor's order not to hold gatherings larger than 50 people? He held services again Sunday and plans to do so yet again on Tuesday night.

Our off shore centers are in India and they've locked the country down. So I get to do a bunch of data processing that used to be done elsewhere. Thank goodness I can work from home.

This is the news coming out of NOLA as of yesterday. Our hospitals are starting to fill to capacity with estimates that we will be at capacity April 1st. We are also running out of supplies and desperately need ventilators. Tuesday deaths were at 45. Today they are at 65. I am scared and upset. We are going to lose so many people down here.

I think I have it. Persistent dry cough. No allergy meds are working. Live in East TN. I was pretty active in crowds in early March (daily errands, couple of concerts). Was questioning if I got it bc temps are normal, and no muscle aches.. Slight fatigue, Coughing some blood, but not consistent. No extreme breathing problems. Doctor on the today show this morning, who tested positive has exact same symptoms, with no fever. Am I crazy to think this? Only 15 reported cases in my city. I am not a hypochondriac and rarely get sick.

ETA: the blood is rare. Only in the morning. Going to reach out to the tele doctor soon
