Only thing I have to add of note is:
Yuja Wang - The American Project
Yuja Wang - The American Project
One of my favorite bands of all time, Haken, dropped their 7th LP today, titled Fauna. In short, it's fantastic. This album is progressive rock/metal at its absolute finest (two genres, which, IMO, have been pretty stagnant for a long time, with very few exceptions), and it contains plenty of Haken's quirkiness that I love. I know none of you had this album on your radar lists (unless I missed it somewhere), so I'm guessing most of you are unfamiliar with the group. I guarantee this will be one of the most unique rock/metal experiences of your year, even if you don't typically listen to these genres. Do yourself a favor Every track is a highlight for me, but penultimate track "Elephants Never Forget" is at the top. This will definitely be an AOTY list contender for me
Glad you gave it a chance and checked out the album! And glad you'll be revisiting it! Let me know how you're feeling about it later onI really enjoyed this! Doubtful it will be on my yearend list, but we'll see what happens as I revisit it, since I definitely will. Thanks for the heads up.
Or listen to our recsI've got nothing this week so I'm going to use the time to explore things I've missed!
YOU ARE A CONSTRUCT.... CORRECTION - YOU ARE POST-CONSTRUCT.GENRE IS A CONSTRUCT
I'm on the Minutemen in the audiobook...Post-Hardcore is a more artsy version of hardcore if Minor Threat is Hardcore then Fugazi where they added some jazzy elements is Post-Hardcore.
You read the Fugazi chapter of Our Band Could Be Your Life yet @Lee Newman ?
