New Music Friday!

This is one of my favorite things I’ve listened to this year so far

Hot damn you ain't lying. Sometimes an album scratches an itch you didn't know you had. This is definitely one of them.

The cut he did with Messthetics on his solo album last year was my introduction to them and my favourite on that album, so a whole album with them was am exciting prospect, and it delivered!

I respect your dedication just to write all this out, nevermind listen to it all! Thanks for the reminders about Aofie and Empress Of, I had no idea their new albums were coming out this Friday.

This is a wonderful (and large) list that I see includes Waxahatchee and Sierra Ferrell but there has been a bit of an oversight by omitting Rosali - Bite Down. On a big day with lots of great albums Rosali is one of the albums I am most excited for.

Stereogum showcased this album this week and I listened to a couple of songs which were right up my alley. However! I absolutely despise the album artwork and it's super confusing because it does not fit with the music one bit.

This one seems fine, nothing about it seems like it would detract from the music. But if this new album didn't get a Stereogum seal of approval I would actively avoid listening to it based on the artwork alone.
I agree with these comments about the crazy album cover. It is very distracting, especially given the beautiful singles she's released from it so far.

I will say though, I bet she has an amazing sense of humor, bc that album cover is also hilarious.
