I’m with you and @Djxfactor511@Djxfactor511 same here. I love this group so much, and the wife does too. So we shall wait for Magnolia to deliver and listen together. I can confidently say...it WILL be worth the wait.

Just listened. Parts of it were good--I especially liked the instrumental closer--but a lot of the lyrics are pretty bad (esp. on "Shanghai Blues"). I haven't listened to much of Robbie's solo stuff so I don't know how it compares to his previous post-Band work.Anyone heard the new Robbie Robertson?
This album is so good.
DSVII is primarily influenced by vintage video game music and 80's sci-fi/fantasy films such as 'The Never Ending Story'. Anthony Gonzalez even lists a number of references for the album, including work by Brian Eno, Mort Garson, Suzanne Ciani and John Carpenter, alongside video scores, such as Final Fantasy (Nobuo Uematsu), Dragon Quest (Koichi Sugiyami) and The Legend of Zelda (Koji Kondo). The album, the sequel to Digital Shades Vol. 1 (2007), is an expansive down-tempo atmospheric journey that evokes childhood memories of fantasy reverie. 🕹📽A little disappointed by the new M83. I can't remember what I read but I was expecting Junk but inspired by 80s video game soundtracks rather than TV soundtracks. But this is all instrumental and more like his older stuff, it's well produced and all, nothing wrong with it really, I just really liked Junk.
I just wrapped it and it's one of the best things I've heard this year.Halfway through Brittany Howard’s Jaime and I’ve got to say this is pretty, pretty, pretty good. Recommended
