The Carolina Hurricanes have signed goaltender Frederik Andersen to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $4.5 million, reports Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.

The Hurricanes are also signing goaltender Antti Raanta to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $2 million, reports TSN's Pierre LeBrun.

Andersen, 31, spent the last five seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He posted a .895 save percentage and a 2.96 goals-against average in 24 games last season. The Hurricanes originally selected him in the seventh round of the 2010 NHL Draft.


Raanta, 32, spent the last four seasons with the Arizona Coyotes. He's battled injuries for much of the last three years but put up strong numbers when healthy. He posted a .930 save percentage and a 2.24 goals-against average in 2017-18 while appearing in 44 games.
 
The Vancouver Canucks inked goaltender Jaroslav Halak to a one-year, $1.5-million contract, reports Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli.

Halak posted a .905 save percentage and minus-1.6 goals saved above average over 19 games with the Boston Bruins in 2021.

The 36-year-old played three seasons with Boston following stints with the New York Islanders, Washington Capitals, St. Louis Blues, and Montreal Canadiens.


Vancouver needed a backup netminder after Braden Holtby signed a one-year contract with the Dallas Stars earlier Wednesday.
 
The Vancouver Canucks re-signed defenseman Travis Hamonic to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $3 million, reports TSN's Darren Dreger.

Hamonic, 30, just wrapped up his first season with the Canucks, where he scored three goals and added seven assists in 38 games.

He previously spent time with the Calgary Flames and New York Islanders. In 675 career games, he's scored 40 goals and chipped in 158 assists.
