Exactly what I'd do and would expect them to be doing right now. If they can't secure a deal before Saturday, they may have to match and figure things out then. (We all know Bergevin has absolute shit judgement with late 1st round picks, so I'd prefer they didn't keep it, LOL).

I'm actually really happy and impressed there has been complete radio silence from Montreal since the announcement of the contract. This is how you deal with this situation, not by making a hissy fit like a wee baby for a week.
