would imagine so. pretty sure part of Kraken expansion was to rebuild Key Arena to support a larger fan base.
Now granted many of those seats are often empty.

All SLC needs is Tom Cruise to be a sponsor and get the church of scientology to announce hockey is the path of whatever afterlife they believe in and BAM instant season ticket sales!

Apparently they're gunning for an upcoming Olympics, which would require a professional standard rink, so they've already approved one.

The plan is to use and renovate the Utah Jazz's arena, the Delta Center, which currently has a capacity of 14,000 for hockey
