NHL Thread Because There Isn't An NHL Thread

I'd really prefer the Panthers and Lightning go 7 and beat the hell out of each other before hopefully facing one of them in the second round (ideally Tampa).
I've been too traumatized really to want to face either of them...but everyone keeps saying this team feels different so I have to have some kind of faith.

But still, man it's been some tough times.

Like, as a Leafs fan you automatically just expect the big players to kind of disappear in the playoffs, but that hasn't happened yet.
You expect shitty goaltending, but Stolarz has been awesome.
You expect the Leafs to buckle under playoff intensity, but here we are.

I WANT TO BELIEVE

The Leafs have beaten the Lightning before and seem to have had their number this season. (Though the Sens also owned the Leafs in the regular season this year, so...) Plus I'd rather not see Sam Bennett concuss Matthew Knies by smashing his face straight into the ice again.

Not sure the team feels too different apart from having a goalie not shit himself.

Iunno, I feel the style is different, and while they may be outshot, the quality of shots are limited in quality vs the wild panic of previous years. Less dump and chase-y maybe?
Oh, the style is definitely different. They were way more of a possession-style team under Keefe (not dump and chase, but more controlled entries). Their defensive style keeps shots to the outside and they block way more. Just not sure the team "feels" different in a vibe sense. Almost every time they've lost a round it's been in the margins, a goal here and there. They've won two games in overtime so far, so it's mostly a matter of the bounces going their way this time instead.
