The Minnesota Wild have signed netminder Cam Talbot to a three-year, $11-million contract, according to TSN's Pierre LeBrun.

Talbot, 33, authored a .919 save percentage and 7.53 goals saved above average over 26 appearances with the Calgary Flames last season.

The 6-foot-4 puck-stopper also posted a .924 save percentage and 2.42 goals-against average through 10 postseason starts.


The Wild traded longtime netminder Devan Dubnyk to the San Jose Sharks earlier this week.

I don't think they need an upgrade for Markstrom. Holtby can work really well as a 1B to Thatcher Demko, and they can protect Demko in the Expansion Draft.
