I swear though trade deadlines are just days where GMs sit there with a bottle of Jack (Or Crown for Canadian GMs), drunk dial other GMs and make terrible decisions.

The Dallas Stars have acquired forward Mikko Rantanen from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for forward Logan Stankoven, a 2026 1st round pick a 2027 1st round pick and some other pieces.

The Stars have re-signed Rantanen to a 8-year, $96 million extension with an AAV of $12 million.
 
Marchand to Florida has been confirmed.

Disappointed that Dubas couldn’t move Rakell considering the season he’s had.
But overall he did a pretty good job. I believe the Pens will have around 27mil in cap space.
Now they just need to tank harder.

WTF! Wonder what we gave up for him. Either way, will feel a little gross to root for the guy (though this could be pretty awesome)

I like what the Leafs did today.

Added Carlo and Laughton. Minten seemed to be a future player but all in all real solid work there.
 
The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired forward Luke Kunin from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a 2025 4th round pick.
 
Dubas is if anything, loyal to a fault to "his guys". Looks like he took our Connors in exchange for retention on the Carlo deal?
