No Buy Vinyl Support Thread

Well, I wish I had checked all this out before I spun that River Whyless record. I also wish I didn’t feel compelled to unwrap my records when they come home....

this is the only unopened one I have currently:
62A87627-FD63-4215-8CC1-319F35553FFA.jpegits the last from the super cheap box...

however I have all these used records I have never played:

and these are records awaiting their first spin after having been cleaned:

Awesome!!!

So I don't know if this belongs here- but the other night I was messing around with my new Yamaha receiver, and noticed it could bluetooth sync to my phone. I brought up my Plex server to try it out- my 4200 digital albums get as much attention to the right mastering as my records- and I swear it sounded as good or better than the wax, with no cleaning of flipping sides. I started to wonder if I needed any more records...seriously.

I hooked up my amp to my PC via an optical cable...I've been thinking about using that more and more recently.

I have up separating my unplayed albums, so if they've been opened and clean there address some in more sure if. Like this one:

I'm 90% sure this is the first time I've played this one. But it's possible I gave it one spin...

But there are plenty I'm sure about, and a few in shrink.

New thread is live. Everything before the new thread still counts!!!

Let's keep this as a support thread only.

I can't blame you. It's a classic.

Do gift certificates count for purchasing?

No buy is what you want it to be!

If you just do not want to spend your own money, then that works.
If you want to do a absolutely no new vinyl coming into your collection, then that works too.
If you just want to be a lot more mindful about what you are bringing in and you have time to appreciate what you have, that's good too.
