Ok, perfect opportunity to share this story. My 5 year old plays (I mean, there’s a ball and an adult human sort of herding the madness) soccer Tuesdays after school, and the last two Tuesdays I have chatted with this tiny little 3 year old who is so articulate I wondered if he was actually like 6 and just super little (he’s still little even for 3). Anyway, out of nowhere two weeks ago, he says, “my dad watches a scary cartoon. The man…has…no hair” and then starts vaguely humming the Simpsons theme. I asked “are you talking about the Simpsons?” and he whips around “YES. Homer! No hair.”
Yesterday, I’m watching sort-of-soccer, and this little guy wanders up tapping his fingers together (just like Mr Burns) and he tells me “Mr Burns is just a cartoon. He is a villain.” I ask him who is his favorite Simpsons character, and he replies immediately, “Mr. Plow.”
I then come to find out he is supposed to be out there playing soccer with my kid, he just always wanders over to discuss Simpsons haha.
