Online Vinyl Deals

I've had pretty good luck with Target's mailers recently. They're cardboard and made for shipping records and have offered pretty great protection. Even when I have had creases (which dont seem the mailers fault) their CS has been great and sent a replacement right away without requiring a return of the damaged copy.
Of all the big retailers, I have the most peace of mind ordering from them.
I agree with this, although we'll see what happens when i get mine today! Maybe it depends on where it ships from...

Did anyone notice the Echo and the Bunnymen reissues are $13.39 at Target? I see higher priced ones that are also vinyl so I wonder if these are really the CDs, but I can't tell by the UPC. No one else has them listed yet.
I took a shot and preordered 3 LPs, Heaven Up Here, Porcupine and Ocean Rain, for $28 total. Target won't charge for a preorder until the items ship, so no worries if this is a mistake.

Most of the tone poets appear to be sold out on the target website now, but I'm very happy I was still able to grab 2 BN80s (Grant Green's "Alive!" and Jutta Hipp with Zoot Sims) AND Dua Lipa's Future Nostalgia for just over $40 shipped.
That Grant Green Alive! album is fantastic. Especially track 2, Time to Remember. You can hear people shouting in the crowd during that track, they just loved what they were hearing. "WOOO!"

Target shipping arrived. The double LP I ordered was packed in a cardboard mailer and was completely safe. Thelonious Monk One Step arrived in a separate box also perfectly fine (despite me seeing the UPS guy throw the box hah). Not sure if I have just been lucky with Target, but I always order from them with confidence for packaging. My last few orders have all been fine and way more reliable than Amazon's packaging.

Caved on the Amazon sale and picked up two debuts (Smashing Pumpkins’ Gish and Radiohead’s Pablo Honey), plus the second Strokes album (which has been on my want list since, you know, 2003). Nineties nostalgia is strong in this household.

Total cost with Prime was $38 and change, under $13 a record. Amazon is obviously not anyone’s favorite but since going to record stores is against my family’s policy, it will have to do.

These sales have been real nice lately. I skipped out on Amazon altogether but mostly because I raided Target and didn't want to be tempted hah

Me too at this point. So many people bought multiple copies that would be surprised if any of us end up with them. And if we all do get them, the second hand market will probably be $5.99 haha.

Kind of amazing though that it's still listed on the site at the same price, which would suggest they haven't figured it out yet! ;)

They did make an update so that you couldn't order it unless you have $25+ in your cart, even with Red card. But even if you did that, you could put a rando $25 record in and cancel it after ordering.

Oh, that's interesting. More a matter of their not being willing to ship for an order below $25 (like some places that won't allow a credit card below a minimum purchase) than anything to do with the item itself. (Tried it separately with a $3.29 Buddy Guy CD and got the same message.) But yeah, that's definitely a change because earlier in the week, between my 3-item purchases, I purchased the Neil Young set on its own.

Oh yea. They definitely haven't sorted the real price out (if that is in fact the item). Between just the people here, they probably sold well over 100 box sets at discount of over 90%. I don't see what's to stop them from saying "we won't be getting that many in stock and oversold. sorry!"
