Do you mean the Who Can I Be Now box? I've seen that one a bunch but skipped out since I'm not the biggest fan of live albums in general and I kinda remember there being a lot of live albums on there.Don't get Diamond Dogs.... Get box 2. Gouster is immense!
It has two versions of David Live and both mixes of Station to Station in which is a bit of a piss take but Diamond Dogs, Station to Station, Gouster and Young Americans are all staples. Gouster is seriously good. And the ReCall in there is brilliant. Bowie singles ahoy. I'm not sure what it costs in the states but before Christmas it was going over here for about £120 (which is about half what I paid for the damn thing)Do you mean the Who Can I Be Now box? It's a big pet peeve of mine too. CHANGE THE BARCODES!I was gunna buy Hunky Dory and Ziggy but the fact that there is now an identical 2020 repress of Ziggy but with different matrix that is apparently digital and there's no way to tell without opening it either it's the 2016 or not means fuck it I'm out. Too much work.
Unfortunately, the persons responsible for barcodes don't care about mastering and vice versa. It's a big pet peeve of mine too. CHANGE THE BARCODES!
The barcode is the crowning achievement of a capitalistic society.Unfortunately, the persons responsible for barcodes don't care about mastering and vice versa.
Yeah, ya would wanna take away from your important microscopic photography work.I was gunna buy Hunky Dory and Ziggy but the fact that there is now an identical 2020 repress of Ziggy but with different matrix that is apparently digital and there's no way to tell without opening it to see if it's the 2016 or not means fuck it I'm out. Popmarket's shipping is fine, never had any damage. I've had up to 3 lps in an order before and it was packed perfectly fine. It's usually been in a thin cardboard mailer inside another cardboard mailer or corrugated cardboard envelope.Anyone have major issues with quality of shipping from Popmarket? I want to order the Petty Anthology from them since Amazon just shipped one to me in a soft plastic mailer and nothing else. Needless to say I need to return that one. Popmarket has it for much less so I’m skeptical, so any guidance would be appreciated.
Might be sacrilege, but ya don't need all of them. I think Ziggy Stardust and Hunky Dory are must have Bowie albums so I have picked up those recently. But then I picked up Pinups and Aladdin Sane.....and probably picking up Low and Diamond Dogs soon. Shit....i've gone down the rabbit hole without even realizing.
Here's a Bowie discography if you want a ton of Bowie:
Skip the first album. Buy everything he releases from his second self titled aka Space Oddity through "Heroes" while skipping Pin ups.
Thats all you need really.
I haven’t had issues! Pretty standard shipping packaging. Nothing incredible but packed well and didn’t have damage last time I ordered from them.Anyone have major issues with quality of shipping from Popmarket? Definitely come on down. The rabbit hole is very spacious, lots of great outfits to wear. Just step over the kabbalistic writing on the carpet, it protects us from vampires.Nooooo! Fall down @Crabbers it isn’t a rabbit hole it’s a vortex of gorgeous perfection....
This is the correct answer - with two minor exceptions: Pin-Ups and the live albums. But for me I think that every album from Hunky Dory to Let’s Dance is a nailed on classic that is essential.
