If you don’t have to send one of those back, I may be in the market for one.

What a shit show. I had that happen with Target and they pulled the same thing.I'm not sending any of them back. I ordered 3 copies last July and when they finally showed up... CDs. I fucked up and let the 30 day window lapse, so I reordered paying full current price ($375 with tax) just so I could get the vinyl, send those first CDs back, and get the refund. At least I would only still be paying the discount price. Then... CDs again.
This time I actually paid retail, so I was pissed. Amazon chat transferred me repeatedly, disconnected... bumbled it all. Admitted that if I order from them, they still can't guarantee I will get what I pay for. Bold admission. I get a $10 credit in my account and a replacement with a promise it won't happen again.
Today... happens again.
5 new associates and 2 disconnections. I'm eventually offered a "one time exception" for a refund.
"One time exception? A refund is your minimum legal responsibility."
"You don't need to send them back."
"Well... I still have yesterday's order to return."
"Okay... you don't have to return that, either, and we'll refund you for the inconvenience. You can donate or dispose of the product."
"Cool. So, after almost a year of this, I get to throw the shit you sent me out, I never get what I ordered, and I simply get my refund? And no I don't want an Amazon giftcard, because I don't have a ton of confidence in purchasing from you, at the moment. Yes, return the funds to the charging method."
"And... here's a $20 credit."
"Okay. That works. Bye."
So... ultimately, I get 9 CD boxsets and $30 credit. I don't get my original payment back, but it looks like that came to $28.61. Apparently, I had some $10 credit for some other fiasco that I applied back when I ordered.
I'd rather have 3 vinyl boxsets, but I guess I do come out ahead.
It must vary by distribution center. I had the same exact scenario and followed the same strategy and eventually ended up with these at $11.98 a pop...I'm not sending any of them back. Why not? You're ahead now at least.Yeah. I saw you finally got them, so it gave me hope. Not this time. But... I'm kind of a glutton for this shit. Might try again

But hey - I'm on a roll. @Dead C - if you like I'll order another LP set and if it comes through you can send me the CDs to send back and I'll do a wrong item received return.
I know. I know. I'm inebriated watching SNL highlights. Probably should put myself to bed.Honestly, this is a lot more about a battle with Amazon and not even the boxset, itself. @Yer Ol' Uncle D doesn't need to send me a boxset. Amazon does.
What a shit show indeed..
I hope you’re able to eventually find the vinyl at a decent price. If you are willing to part with one of those CD box sets in lieu of using them as coasters, let me know. I’d be happy to pay postage/compensate for the cost.
