But back to the Stones album – essential? highly recommended?

It might actually be the best Stones live show. To me The Brussels Affair was the standard but damn this one smokes. I always felt the Stones would play too fast live and Mick would get winded from singing up tempo and dancing around so he would cut corners. But on this one they play at album speed and they just nail every song.

It’s from a secret show at a small venue in Canada from 1977. It sounds quite good on wax; nice die cut package. It was a pretty well regarded bootleg but this is the first official release. I purchased it for $90 a few months back and have no regrets. $60 would be a no brainer if I didn’t already have a copy.

I would highly recommend it.

I don't have a Stones album. And this is making me want one.
I've been looking for playable Sticky Fingers zipper edition for a while now, but I guess I could use some live Stones.

Nirvana-In Utero-180 Gram Vinyl Record|Acoustic Sounds (also on uDiscover) .... which version of in utero is the one I want? I like the original mix but do not find albini mix offensive, I don't feel the need to have the b sides and bonus whatever on vinyl. I vaguely prefer 33 over 45 so I don't have to flip every 10 minutes
I want the mix as released in 1993 or whenever… I have the black cover / 2013 mix. Is this that version? Or a hybrid?

I believe this is the original mix not the albini mix but I can't really find hard any info on it
Albini mix has different cover art (the background is Black) If you want the original mix at 33 rpm and you are interested n a reissue this is probable the way to go. I have the 2xLP 45 RPM (it also comes with a nice bonus third disc that includes some Albini and Lit mixes and some excellent B-Sides; “Sappy” & “I Hate Myself And I Want To Die” are killer tracks) and it sounds fantastic but who know when they will repress that.
