Anyone buy from shop-arts-crafts.ca? Prices and selection seem good, so I added 6 albums to my cart. All were at good prices to begin with, then discounted 22%. But when I tried to check out, the prices had changed (increased) and many of them were no longer discounted. The total went from $93.34 in the cart, to $135 at checkout, and that was before shipping. Weird. Anyone else notice this?

EDIT: Ooof, doesn't matter because the shipping would have killed it anyway.

The shipping cost prevents me from ordering from them as well….. and I live in Canada…….and love the label. It’s outrageous.

I was gonna suggest confirming that it hadn't switch to Canadian dollars, but if the discount vanished, it probably wouldn't be the case

I’ve purchased from them before. It’s the label that put out all those records. Just checked with a quick test and I don’t have that issue but it is $20 shipping from Canada to the US for a box set and 2 albums for me which seems to be just kinda standard Canada shipping costs to the US? Been a minute since I shipped from Canada though.

There must be something in your cart that’s triggering the sale to go away? Not sure if you changed to US vs CAD as well.

Nearly every time I’ve debated buying records from Canada, the shipping costs kill it. The Feist bundle wasn’t terrible though. Think it was $60 something shipped for the 3 albums. Makes sense the BSS bundle is pricey to ship as I bet it would have been quite heavy with 8 or so records in it

Yup it's not that bad at all actually. All their albums and Old Dead Young are 2xLP so there are actually 14 records in it.

EDIT: reminds me of the last show they did in Paris. At the end of the show, Kevin and musicians stayed on stage and he said something like : Ok now it's the time we get out of the stage, you start cheering asking for more songs, we come back acting surprised like it was unexpected and we thank you blah blah blah. We don't have time for this so let's go to the next song. Thank you Paris.

The wife had me rolling this morning telling me about one of her colleagues who oversees the clothing donations that the shelter gets. She was training a new volunteer yesterday and said if they opened a bag that smelled just to stop and throw it into the recycle pile because last week she (direct quote) "pulled out a pair of pants that had a shit in them. Not a skid mark, but a full on shit. You know how when you smack an old seat cushion and the dust flies up? That was these pants only it weren't no dust, it was a cloud of shit."

I probably woke the neighbors, I was howling.
