It's actually not a good indicator for everyone that was excited for Blue Note to press it's more obscure titles with KG mastering, looks like buyers didn't turn out for those like they promised they would
i'm sure the Blue Note reissue campaign has made them more than enough profit to cover the loss of the titles that didn't sell well.

It is truly amazing to think that they have literally been giving these away for days, and have sold out of less than 20% of what is on offer. Not a huge stretch here, but I'm guessing whoever forecasted demand for the Steve Miller Band titles is no longer employed by the same company.
It's all the PJ Harvey surplus - and not just at SOV - that's a head-scratcher for me. I love Polly Jean, but even I admit she's more niche than pop goddess.

Even my local had almost a full bin of PJ demo remainders.

Yeah, I'm sure there were champions for the more obscure titles, a bit of wishcasting perhaps. That said, still not quite to Steve Miller levels of fail. The funny thing is, many of those who picked up the Joe Pass agree it was one of the best Tone Poets from 2022.

I would venture a guess that a very small percentage of the record buying public is aware of these and taking advantage of the deal. Plus there are people like me that snagged a couple they truly wanted and wondered off.

This sale actually hit the front page of slickdeals.net last night, so a LOT of people are probably aware of it now.

That’s said, everyone in the comments was implying the site was a scam due to a lot of negative online reviews. I didn’t bother correcting them :)

Yep. I got the Joe Pass for what I thought was a fair price of something like $28 from a udiscover sale last year. I'm happy to have it in my collecion at that price. I'd feel like I really got away with something if I was able to get it for $8 (or, gasp, even $4). And the Turrentine is a pretty solid release, too. Not my favorite, and I'd probably pass at the $40 mark, but it's definitely worth $8.
