The house that BoomBoom built!
Word of warning—think they have been repressing some of these with different plates and mastering but same UPC. I got American IV and thought it was the CB/QRP pressing but the generic GZ/PRP cut showed up. Same UPC"Audiophile 180-gram vinyl reissue of Volume I of Johnny Cash's American Recordings albums Rick Rubin supervised cutting and pressed at QRP."
Amazon product ASIN B00I65266W
I went ahead and bought it, there is no way an import available on amazon was pressed at qrp.Word of warning—think they have been repressing some of these with different plates and mastering but same UPC. Holy shit it's really good. QRP and Mike's dungeon master.
Still easily worth $25 in the end.

Has anyone seen anything resembling a sale for outer sleeves lately?
I didn't realize I was so low.
As far as I'm aware, this is about the best you're going to do. The fact shipping is free really helps. I've been using these for years without complaint.Has anyone seen anything resembling a sale for outer sleeves lately?

I’m a big fan of VSS. Definitely cheaper options out there but they do still have the savings on “bulk” I think. They had a sale in early July and I’d guess they would have another sale soonish.Have you used Vinyl Storage Solutions out of Winnipeg? They have pretty nice crystal clear outers in all kinds of formats. I think a bunch of folks on here have converted to them over the last few years. Anyway, they routinely have sales. There were a few recently. But they do have free shipping after you buy so many. They used to have reduced price when you buy bulk-ish (like 10% off for more than 5x packs of 25) but I'm not sure they do that anymore.

I have too many records to go back and resleeve now haha. But I do try to swap out older sleeves if I pull something to listen to and it’s got a crappy sleeve on it. I use the Hudson HiFi inners because they are great and real cheap. Just got a 500 pack for $60 shipped or something like that on Amazon for prime day. Regular price is around $80 for 500 I think. They seem pretty identical to the MoFi inners. Someone sent me a PIF with the thicker VSS inners and it almost converted me haha. They are real nice.My entire collection is in VSS sleeves now. Using their rice paper inners as well.
For someone starting, I'd recommend getting mostly 12" outers which are great for single-pocket LPs, but also a few packs of 12.75" and 13" for those larger gatefolds and tip-ons (and more if you have lots of larger sleeves in your collection).
