It's said no pre-orders the last couple years but it's still worked on them. So hopefully they haven't upgraded their system to cut them off this year.

The order-then-cancel still worked (on books) a couple of weeks ago, so I doubt they’ve upgraded their system to ferret out our shenanigans.

Yep cancel trick knocks 33.3% off the current price. Red card adds another 5% off at the end.

Right. Instead of getting 33% off an order of three equally priced records, which is what you'd get with B2G1, you get 33% off a single album without having to spring for three.

Went through over 30 pages sorted by "Newest" twice and couldn't find one item of interest.

It does seem like a lot of titles are just not listed anymore. They definitely had the Billy Joel Vol 2 box set listed -- that was the pricey one I was aiming at if the sale happened. I made a list about a month ago, and maybe 2/3 of the titles are no longer listed at all.
