Oh! You Pretty Things had its first live performance at Glastonbury Fayre on June 23 1971.
Play something “live”
1000004421.jpg
Boogie Down Productions "Live Hardcore Worldwide Paris, London & NYC" with special shout out to The 2 Live Crew "Live in Concert" - I clearly had a tough choice for this prompt and in the end I took the clear winner, this BDP live record is amazing, The 2 Live Crew, well it's something! I'm not sure why there isn't more live hip hop albums, maybe there are and I'm just out of touch, but if there are this record really sets a high bar!

Day 18
Prettiest Star - Marc Bolan played guitar on the earliest version of this Bowie song in 1970.
Play a song with a “guest” on it

Main Source "Breaking Atoms" - The song "Live at the Barbecue" features a young rapper from Queens NY by the name of Nas, I wonder what happened to that guy?

Day 25
June 25, 2004 - Last performance of the Reality tour and last full Bowie concert ever, retiring completely from live performing in 2006.
Play something that is “last”

Shooter Jennings & Hierophant – "Black Ribbons"

Will O' The Wisp broadcasts Last Light Radio for the last night, playing the banned music of Hierophant on this sweet concept album from Shooter Jennings. @Yer Ol' Uncle D's inspired inaugural selection for his Vinyl Me, D club. Took me a while to track down a reasonably priced copy for myself, but I'm glad I did!

Day 26
Velvet Underground - David received a promo copy of the first VU album in 1966 and quickly added “I’m Waiting for the Man” to his live repertoire, even recording it as an unreleased single. This and later “White Light/White Heat” were played at least once over every subsequent tour until 2004.
Play a cover

It's all covers...and I can't play just one. Easy Star records are just too much fun...

The Lips have done a bunch of covers over the years (including Space Oddity for the Bowie connection), but I think the cover of Daniel Johnston's "Go" along with Sparklehorse is one of my favorites. SInce the original album it was on (The Late Great Daniel Johnston) never got released on vinyl, I was very glad to see it made it onto the 20th Anniversary Yoshimi reissue.

Day 23
Teenage Wildlife from Scary Monsters was seen as a put down of the many Bowie wannabies and “new wave boys.” But it is also directed to a younger self or younger sibling.
Play something that a “younger” version of you would be surprised by.

Steve Earle & The Dukes - Ghosts of West Virginia

Younger me wouldn't have given this a chance and I think I would have been surprised by it because I think I would have liked it had I actually paid attention.

Under Pressure. Pressure makes diamonds (according to Wikipedia).
Play something hard

Pale Wizard - (Budgie) Never Turn Your Back On A Friend: 50 Years Later

I just learned this exists last night. A buddy I used to work with is a HUGE Budgie fan, so I passed along the Bandcamp link which led to a nice catch-up since it'd been a little over a month since we last spoke.
