this aint happening for atleast another 8+ hrs at this point.
No progress anywhere.
They shouldve all pulled all nighters and have another set of counters come in when the old ones couldnt anymore and got this shit done in a timely manner.

I like some of the newer cast members. I don't think the end of election season will affect - regardless of one's opinion, good or bad - the quality of SNL. I think their political sketches (namely, the cold opens) have been forgettable, at best, and cringe-inducing, at worst. Carrey's Biden was as if Carrey had never actually seen Biden and just wanted to dress up as an old man and show how malleable his face still is. I also didn't like Maya Rudolph's Kamala. It felt phoned in and perfunctory - like, oh, we have this person we can get who can vaguely resemble her and we'll give her some lines (that usually weren't that funny).

Their best political commentary is during Weekend Update. Jost and Che hold the desk well. But, honestly, it's the kind of satire you can get plenty of other places.

Also, it would be short-sighted to think that there will stop being a treasure-trove of political commentary for SNL or anyone else. Trump will still be around. Giulliani will still be a saliva-tossing, butt-dialing, shadow of a human being. Material abounds.

I am a big fan of SNL overall as well. It was more of a joke about how many often say SNL used to be good but it sucks now.

It doesn’t matter when “now” is. It’s an evergreen generational comment.
 
who even started the rumor of the 1.5K or so ballots being dropped to us at midnight... i stay up this long because of this shit (and because i like talking to some friends in other countries). thanks for getting my hopes up for no shit
 
imagine counting all the way up to it being a tie on georgia then be like ah fuck it lets go home lads.

Atleast all them news channels are getting maximum amount of ad revenue
