The Giles Martin mix of Sgt Pepper's was a revelation. If you haven't heard it yet, his interview on All Songs Considered was really interesting.

Oh yes!! Thanks for remembering the podcast, that’s what prompted me to buy it! It’s so cool hearing his mindset throughout the process, fascinating stuff.

I hope everyone voting for Revolver has the UK version in mind. I can’t stand listening to that album without “I’m Only Sleeping” and “Doctor Robert.”

Only thing holding back Abbey Road as the #1 for me is “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer.” Not a terrible song but I don’t think the album would have suffered not having it on there. In my opinion, it would have only made it better.

“maxwell’s silver hammer” was one of the most memorable songs from my youth. My grade school music teacher taught it to us, and accompanied us on piano. It was pretty influential, he also wore a fro really well for a white guy.
