PopTarts Unite!

When whittling down my nominations I definitely tried to keep in mind both how big the song was and how much it encompassed the decade. Likely if I was just picking my 3 favorites, they would be different. Though I do really really enjoy all 3 I picked.
 
There is one song that had a huge year this year that has not been nominated and I'm actually surprised. But also very ok with it.

Oh wow, looking at that list I am so mad at myself for excluding "Royals." That song was a major paradigm shift in pop music and helped pave the way for people like Billie Eilish in the first place. If we're doing this based on pure impact that song deserves to be in the top five easily

This is awesome, thanks @Teeeee ! Can we all make a pact to keep this thread positive and not bash a song when it comes time to vote? My fragile ego can't take the abuse plus I want this thread to be a safe haven of positivity.

There will be no bashing of songs or artists in the pop tart thread! This is a judgement free zone. Take all that to another thread - there's a hot take thread to get your curmudgeonness out.

We are all about the sweet sweet pop in here.
