Pre-Order Thread

I just tried, and indeed, you are correct.
I tried for a long time haha. I also had an alert set up for weeks to let me know if it was still in stock. I deleted the alert yesterday because I accepted that it was long gone. And I agree. the wishlist thing is bogus because they don't actually let you know when its back!

How did you have an alert set up?

So it will let you add this to the cart and check out. Does it charge right away?

If you happen to get the “In stock” then it will let u add it. Don’t dally if u want one and it shows stock. It is a little odd as the Add to Cart looks like you add it until u click it so watch for the In Stock banner.

It isn’t a preorder so I think it charges right away. But, I already have a tracking # from my 11:30AM order.

To anyone who got the Walmart exclusive of Core by Stone Temple Pilots, does you copy have to cranked up to sound decent? I normally play records all in a certain range but this one sounds really quiet at that same volume. I wonder if this is the same mastering as the black vinyl on the STP website or if this is just a CD copy.

I haven’t listened yet, but at 54-ish minutes on a single LP it’s not surprising that it’s a little quiet. I’ve found when places start trying to pack 90s albums (who frequently were contractually required to run to an hour-ish) on a single record they get compressed and quiet.

Yes! And I forgot to turn it back down when I put in my next record. I also have a loud repetitive pop throughout most of Creep. Typical splatter.

I haven't listened to mine yet - but it's not that surprising. The MOV release a while back is spread over 3 sides, so being a bit compressed would mean it is cut quieter.

I will do an A/B comparison to that release sometime - but I did want to hear this 2017 Remaster that was originally only released in a box set.
