Pre-Order Thread

Thank you for the detailed reply.
As much as I love the album, I don't really need outtakes or new photos, all I need is the best sounding edition. :)
Are there any comparisons between the two original releases?
wax trax is probably the one for you -- this isn't definite until they can be compared side by side obviously, but infinite fog has a reputation for brickwalled releases.

When it comes to TBC, I've proudly laid down with #13 since 1990. For decades our vinyl relationship was complete, basic black and totally copacetic. They didn't fall prey to the color thing til the last few years.

This one's for you @Viking Dan - the third time I saw them in 1990. My recording is like the show - rough, rowdy and loud - but a rare nugget, nonetheless.

God Dammit! I miss Live Shows and I miss TBC and I especially miss TBC Live Shows.

I'm talking across the internet, brother. Just about every small label I follow had their own versions. This whole argument reeks of you just simply don't like me. Which is FINE. But this argument is exhausting and cluttering up the thread so if you have more issues, feel free to DM me.

I said my piece on the other page about the other criticisms.
I like your YouTube videos on RSD

Another band rises from the ashes of Mylene Sheath.
Dust Moth has a new album out next month via A Thousand Arms.

First press is 300 copies in two variants:
  • Transparent Purple with Transparent Dark Yellow Splatter
  • Blue Marble with Transparent Yellow Splatter

Deluxe edition (ltd. 50) comes with an alternate screen-printed slipcover.

EU should get some via Golden Antenna soon it looks like, so keep an eye out there:

I want Dreams but not a $30+ version

EDIT: LITA has a $25 option... a bit better.

this is like if war on drugs did gay porn

Doesn't "limited to 100" normally mean limited to 100?
Or am I just bad at modern English?

Maybe "a minimum of 100" is more accurate. I think when people/companies deal in limited editions, and all that entails (supply/demand/price), they should be honest about the runs. I'm sure most labels overrun to allow for quality control and replacements, but then it's not really an edition of 1,000 or 2,000 if the other are let out without taking back the bad ones.

Not really chiming in on any other aspects of specific labels or people here - just as a record collector and buyer.
edit: @djdavedk beat me to it

I have no stake in this discussion but just want to say that "limited to 100" does imply a maximum quantity of 100, whether or not you add the word "only" in front. In fact, a crowdfunding effort that requires 100 orders to succeed is the opposite of a "limit," it is a "minimum."

I am not trying to be snarky but just making this crystal clear, since apparently it is a point that has been brought to your attention by several customers over the course of many months that you still refuse to concede on. I wish you best of luck in continuing to improve and learn with your new business, for what it's worth.

Example definitions of the word limit:
  1. a point or level beyond which something does not or may not extend or pass;

  2. a restriction on the size or amount of something permissible or possible.
“Limited to 100” frequently means:

“JUST BUY IT YOU DON’T HAVE TIME TO THINK ABOUT WHETHER YOU WANT IT!! BBBBUYITTTT BBUYYHHH. GGGEETTTT ITTT NNOOOWWWWWWWSJDJHFXJ!!!!”

I do come to this thread often. Like 5,6,7,20
times a day. It keeps me in the loop on what’s new and constantly tests my will power. And for a while I’ve thought that @Twentytwo is secretly employed by every single record label.
I gave up buying records for Lent this year as an experiment and coming to this thread has never felt so thrilling and intimidating haha.
