Pre-Order Thread

Here's some crazy awesome Psychedelic Shoegaze courtesy of one of my new favorite labels, Little Cloud Records. The band says that they were inspired by religious principles and the works of Kenneth Anger and Alejandro Jodorosky lol.

The only artist they've ever done a ROTM for was Dolly Parton and it was a new Christmas album. Do some old Country/Folk/Bluegrass titles for the love of everything. They obviously have the connections with the record labels these days.

Couldn't agree more. I am skipping more often than not now and either some harder to find current reissues or some curated older genre items would be fantastic.

David Bowie Something in the Air Live in Paris Vol 5 just arrived.

This brings up trying to stay on top of ordering the upcoming 6th and final vinyl as they are getting harder with each new order cycle.

So, a heads up here on the next order date would be Very Much appreciated.
Ohh I was wondering what was in my informed delivery. Must be that!

More Prine than we know what to do with - September 78 on red marble.

Sold Out. Did this get posted on John Prine’s Facebook page or something because there were still plenty at one point?

I would be way more relaxed about this, but they keep sending me emails about how “that item” that I looked at in their store is “going fast,” and I’m like “I ALREADY ORDERED IT.”

On today's episode of "Eric Struggles with the Universe," I've now given up on explaining to the Grateful Dead store what the UPS site is saying about the tracking number and the label created. They sent me an e-mail yesterday offering to re-send the record or issue a refund, and I was like "but I think you just need to confirm with UPS..." and they just responded today with the exact same language they sent me yesterday about re-send or refund haha.

Let me tell you, there is no lamer feeling than trying to explain to a Grateful Dead staff person that you haven't received your merch order and having them be like "man, why are you talking about UPS and tracking numbers and stuff? Do you want us to send you another record or do you want your money back?"

Just noticed that Ghostfeeder's Indiegogo for the production of their next album closes Monday.

The album's nearly complete with tons of notable collaborators, so this is the last chance to chip in on the limited campaign rewards, including liner credits on the vinyl jacket (and a backer-exclusive 1/50 limited vinyl jacket design) or even the album on an NES cartridge (no surprise for an artist who uses gamepads for live instruments). General preorders are sure to follow in due time.

FFO: retrowave, synthwave

Featured guests: Amir Derakh (Julien-K, Orgy, Dead By Sunrise), Galen Waling (Lords Of Acid, PIG), Neal Reed (Peter Turns Pirate), Owen Mackinder (The Birthday Massacre, A Primitive Evolution), Brett Carruthers (A Primitive Evolution, The Birthday Massacre), Ryan Shuck (Julien-K, Orgy, Adema), Gen (Genitorturers), Steph Misayo Seki (A Primitive Evolution), Alex Gonzales (By an ion, Julien-K).

My Brain: You don't need an all-cover album of Paul McCartney's latest album with a bunch of great artists, that's just too much money.
Also My Brain: But maybe you do need this reimagining of Pokemon songs in a sweeping orchestra that re-stocked for the same pric.e

My brain is troubled.

Actually, crossing my fingers. I still had it in my cart from when I initially opened before I got sidetracked. I continued with checkout this morning and it let me go through and I got an order confirmation. We will see if it actually gets fulfilled or canceled.

It is back up now.

It is back up now.

Even if you can’t get the colored one, it’s a record worth owning. I have the black version (that also costs about ten bucks less) and it’s just a darn good time.
