I have known several people that said mbv was easily the loudest show they’d gone to.

I was up in the AM late night which is how I ordered my deluxe copy of Loveless. Shipping was $8.64 which made the total cost of the album $39.64.
When these were being sold before I almost bought both albums and just for those two it was $90 something total so I skipped it. This time it felt more reasonable to me.
I was able to get a copy of the Isn't Anything remaster off Discogs last year. I paid a big price for it but I don't regret it now because I honestly never thought they'd do this repress campaign. They just dropped off the face of the earth and went silent.
Something makes me think that we'll be getting new stuff this year hopefully...

the 2013 pressing cover was super thin and for a lot of people riped easily (terrible card stock), they upgraded it a bit I believe in 2014. I have the bad quality card stock version. I know for many they sent out free jackets if you emailed them that were better quality

As a 20 year old when Loveless was released MBV were one of those bands that everyone had heard of, but very little of their music was heard , in those pre internet days ...so they got little radio time , certainly not much tv , and they didn’t really have any “hits”..a band like Ride had a much higher profile , and then the whole indie dance thing with Screamadelica took of ... quickly followed by grunge which torpedoed shoegaze

There is a bootleg version that came out shortly after that did not include the cd and also sounded worse.

It is up there with Sonic Youth for Daydream Nation and Flaming Lips for Hit the Future Deathhead. All 3 took a big chunk of my hearing.

I saw them in Dallas back in 2009 and it was definitely the loudest show I've ever been to. I skipped the free earplugs they were handing out before entering the venue.
When they played "You Made Me Realize" it got soooooooo friggin' loud it felt like I was strapped to the outside of a rocket jetting off. I got really REALLY high off the music.
An amazing experience.

Shields said he’d also like to reissue the band’s earliest releases, recorded with the singer David Conway, once they can be properly remastered.

I'm so glad great shoegaze is still being created. The Deserta album form last year and the Parannoul album (only on youtube) being two of the most exciting records (from any genre!) I've listened to in the last couple of years.
Also, Mew is one of my fav bands, and much of their music is influenced by shoegaze,

It really didn’t. I kept waiting hoping that it would drop in the US but after about a month stuff in the store started to disappear from the site so I bit the bullet and purchased Loveless.

I'm guessing they just mean not streaming but you can order the CDs. I hope I'm wrong though! If anyone sees a vinyl listing go up for that please let me know.
