At last it can be told: the story of how, when the Mountain Goats got together in early March, 2020, it was to make not one album, but two: Getting Into Knives and this one, Dark in Here. That’s how many keepers the band’s superhumanly prolific frontman, John Darnielle, had come up with since they’d recorded In League With Dragons in Nashville back in 2018.

What was the other one posted recently as part of that series? Is there a way to find a list of them on their site? I couldn't figure it out.

do I need the Pogs or Puzzle? no. But when your favorite band release an album you grab the best bundle available as long as it's not ridiculous (see: last Bon Iver album with those tacky af jackets)

Did I just order this knowing damn well that I’m going to also have to be ordering another Peak Vinyl or black version because the color-in-color is inevitably noisy? Yes, because I am a dumb baby.
 
It took me upwards of 5 minutes of pondering my own sanity & connection to reality before I realized this is saying that it's Norman's 25th anniversary, not the 25th anniversary of World Music.
You are not alone, this happened to me with Secretly Canadian's repress of the first War on Drugs album last week - also a 25th anniversary - of Secretly Canadian. They shouldn't be messing with us like this since the past year has felt like 15 years, so we're all vulnerable …
