Pre-Order Thread

Acoustic Sounds' pre-order of Melvins' albums "(a) senile animal" "nude with boots" and "bride screamed murder" are all on backorder -- which they didn't email me about, I just found out when checking my order.

But Ipecac has them, including limited editions:

(tomahawk and bohren & der club of gore and other stuff at ipecac-recordings)

Have you just listened to her first LP a couple of times all the way through? Once I got over the bizarre (in a good way!) production decisions on a few songs, I genuinely found the songs catchy and compelling. It's a dark album that manages to be fun at the same time. I think that is generally hard to find in the Top 40 sphere. Gaga had something similar going on with her first several singles about ten years earlier (pretty much everything up to "Telephone," maybe).
I’ll have to give it another go. I thought it was pretty unique but it didn’t really resonate with me beyond “this is pretty cool”.

I've had a backorder order through them for a year

Just thought you could slip that in there and no one would notice didn’t ya?
I accepted it. It's my 3rd favorite, and what solidified them as one of my favorite bands at the time. I listened to that album so much when it came out. So many memories blasting it on my Zune while night jogging, and doing landscaping at a golf course that summer.

It would be 4th best for me. I would go It Still Moves > At Dawn > Z > Evil Urges. I enjoy their jammy southern rock played in a silo stuff a bit more. It’s still a really good record just not their best (IMO).
