Pre-Order Thread

LORDE STORE

US store has the signed insert / black deluxe and marbled blue as well.

Wow, that didn't take long to sell out.

The blue marbled vinyl is still available but I might wait and see if I can get it at an independent record shop or if their is an Indie Exclusive. $36 plus shipping is a no go for me. Especially when August is already a very busy month for me with new releases on vinyl.

Ummmmm what the heck is this?

I kinda like it, seems forward thinking. I would imagine most of that would come with a hypothetical deluxe CD release and since she's not doing CDs, it gives a fanbase without a record player a way to get some sort of physical representation of the purchase with the download. Near idea, I wouldn't be shocked so see some musicians....borrow it in the future.

I think it's not a bad idea but "disc-less" makes it seem like you're getting an empty box. If it was called a poster and card bundle I probably wouldn't question it.

Matt Nathanson - Modern Love is getting a repress

“I DECIDED EARLY ON IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING THIS ALBUM THAT I ALSO WANTED TO CREATE AN ENVIRONMENTALLY KIND, FORWARD-THINKING ALTERNATIVE TO THE CD."

Sure, forward-thinking if you ignore the looking backward and producing vinyl for your release, which - I believe - a CD in a digipak would have less of an environmental impact than vinyl.

I say this as someone who likes Lorde, loves CDs and vinyl, and will acknowledge their cynicism....but I give a slight eye roll to the description (only slight because I think it is sincere, albeit silly)
