Pre-Order Thread

Thanks.
You just made my point for me.
Don't give your money to those people you think are or have proven to be asshats.

That sentiment should and can apply equally to Bezos or VV.

Now, I will digress to defend VV:
I shop there. Regularly. It is my preferred local.
Their non-wall / Mint>VG+ $15 Punk, Indie and Classic Rock Bins are robust and full of gems.
Their Metal and 7" game is strong.
Their selection on New titles is unmatched in NJ and I've never failed to get want I wanted from their RSD.
If you or your buddy doesn't like them or think they are too expensive.
Fine, accepted; I'm not gonna say its bullshit to state a personal preference.

Back on topic:
So don't give your money to VV if that is your experience --- which was the point I was making in the first place.
But DO give your money to the whatever OTHER you do like and won't shit all over when it gets raised as an example.
Support them.
Bezos doesn't need your money and you don't need the $25 London Calling bad enough to justify contributing to minimalizing the profit margins of [Insert local/indie you prefer here].
Well-put, and accepted. I haven't been there, so I can't state it personally. My friend and I like to shop all over the place, but his range is wider than mine (he's a regional sales rep for Maui Jim sunglasses & eyewear). He always reports back to me about stores he shops in. So often it's "beat up common Beatles albums for $25." Any place that's overpriced based on condition. He also tells me when the owner or staff are rude or nice, if there's a great indie/post-punk selection, and so on.

We are spoiled by our favorite local shop, so it's hard to be impressed by others. Perhaps were are old and jaded and lucky.

He did swing by to pick up some new/sealed records for the closing sale.

I also don't celebrate any record store closing, even if their prices seem high to me. I hope I didn't come across that way.

Sounds like you need to start a new thread: Record Store Reviews!

Canadian electronic music master Sarah Davachi is set to make her next album statement. Via her very own Late Music imprint, Davachi will release her new full-length Antiphonals on September 10.

According to a statement from the artist, the album was "borne of a desire to merge my studio practice with the tonal characteristics and sound-on-sound tape delay processes that have informed my approach to live performance for many years."

Davachi went on to state Antiphonals "is a return to the sound palette of Mellotron, electric organ, piano, and synthesiser that was developed on 2018's Let Night Come on Bells End the Day."

The Algorithm - Brute Force
Audiophile Black or Multicolor (3LP)

Electro-progressive metal. It's good.

Surprised this hasn't been posted yet. Not heard of the label before but it's a reasonable price and I did not realize originals were going for as much as they are, so I impulse-purchased the orange & blue one.

Omg did not see this coming. Never heard of the label either but the price is definitely reasonable. Ordered the orange/blue variant.

And I'm one of them! I requested the same but did it through the website contact form, hope they get it.
I saw this page….you may want to email him with your order number.

Will do. I've been poking around his Facebook, it looks like this will eventually be the first four Boingo albums, and in fact apparently has Nothing to Fear test-pressings in hand already - which in truth I'm more excited about than even Only a Lad!
