We only had a quarter to call my mom to pick us up after the show but that wasn’t enough because it was a long distance call since we had crossed state lines. This was at the Charlotte Hornets training facility which is actually in South Carolina. So we hitchhiked back to Charlotte with a kind old man who told us about his favorite radio stations. It was devastating but also so on brand for the Gallagher brothers.

I have an Oasis concert story which is messed up, but not from something they did, if you can believe that. I saw them in Providence, RI in 1994 or 1995. About three songs in someone threw a shoe and it hit Noel's guitar straight on, breaking a couple strings. The band was shocked, naturally, and left the stage. About 5 minutes later Liam came out and threatened to fucking kill whoever did it, and was demanding the person who did it identify themselves so he could come carry out said murder. Disappointed that the offender didn't self-identify, he left stage. They came out like 10 minutes after that, played a cover of "I Am The Walrus" and called it a night. So I saw Oasis - or, four songs of Oasis.

I was 16 at the time, and I thought MTV was really cool then, especially as a teenager. Like two days later this exact Providence concert story was featured on MTV News with Kurt Loder. So, maybe a bit of a silver lining as a teen, to have been at that show – the one from MTV news! (I mean, sheeet, I'm still milking it now at 40)

There was also a minor hope that this incident would have brought the brothers closer together. Apparently, given their antics, that only lasted for the few minutes Liam was on stage threatening murder. I've seen him pissed off a lot, but holy shit, if he had found the shoe-thrower, he may have actually killed the person.

Their online customer service is pretty awful. Its just a bunch of outsourced Call Center folks who do CS work for multiple companies. I've been pretty lucky so far that I've always received my records from them in good condition (but I order two of every Britney release just in case)

I was so pissed off at them. They didn’t care about me and they were just wasting my time and didn’t want to resolve anything. I put the wrong address by mistake, and they were pretty much like too bad, and it was legit 5 mins after I made the order. And I spent over $100 and lost all of that 🤬🤬🤬

So I am pretty pissed off at them. They didn’t want to help me and they didn’t even apologise that they couldn’t help. I hope one of their stores catches on fire during closing hours and everything in there burns! I’d love to go to the U.S. and just throw a grenade in one of their stores 😈🤫

Super keen to grab their Destiny’s Child exclusive though! 😁🤷‍♂️🤗

I copped that with In the Zone this morning. Solid release day for UO.
They were asking for suggestions on Twitter for albums to press in the future and would pass it along to their Purchasing Department. I think we're going to start seeing some good stuff from UO coming up (especially if you're into Pop music).

I’m keen! I’m going to grab them two exclusives as well! I just literally only have like $50 Lebanese dollars left and only AUD$100 in my account. I need my parents to give me money and then I can go ahead and grab the exclusives 🤟

That is pretty shitty, and the downside of outsourcing a support team. They really couldnt care less about your opinion of UO in general or helping. Sorry to hear that. I've had mostly ok experiences with them but really only had to call over simple stuff.

Hopefully you decide to give them another shot by the time they drop Blackout ;)
 
@wynn72 - I actually like Writings On The Wall just as much as Blackout. I’ll grab Writings on a The Wall within the next 3 days, along with Britney Spears’ In The Zone!

I can’t risk not missing out on Destiny’s Child and I do really enjoy more than half the tracks on that Britney Spears album and one of my close friends absolutely loves that album, so it would be a treat for her spinning it when she’s around!

If Urban Outfitters do an exclusive of Blackout though...it’ll be Heaven on Earth! It will definitely help Break the Ice between me and them if they Gimme More exclusives as hot as Blackout! And as a result, I won’t Get Back at UO as they won’t be on my revenge Radar anymore!
