Why do all the Walmart links come through as “robot or human” on my phone? I don’t necessarily dislike it just find it a bit odd.

Definitely robot.
because the forum crawls the page to put together the link banner. Walmart is detecting activity that it suspects is a robot and is serving up a robot check page to the forum crawler instead of the page you linked. I beleave links from Forbes.com do the same as well.
