I mean they are right. Secretly/Dead Oceans/JagJag make cheap pressings that often sound like trash. It's a reason they are cheap.

I suspect this has some bearing on why Dino Jr. are signed to JagJag.

Which is a shame because it is one of my favourite post-reunion releases and probably lous best dino contributions ever

Well the new Hatchie sounds very good.
I haven’t had any issues with the Morby releases. Same with Stella Donnelly, Whitney. I’m not blaming the label for Dinosaur Jr because that’s they way it was recorded. Those are just some off the top of my head.

Yes! I’d also add the Mitski releases. The first two Durand Jones albums. A-Aron Frazier. Slowdive.

The Slowdive SS clear was pretty good. The gray indie was notoriously bad.

The Mitski albums are so quiet they sound like they were recorded from a different state to what they are being played in.
