Kranky is finally putting out another repress of this great album. Hopefully some day they will be able to do a reissue of the first Bowery Electric.

Yeeep, I think it was @yukbon that told me that his wife also finds red velvet cake extremely bitter and she has a gluten sensitivity just like me. He said that people who find it bitter are usually allergic to red food dye.Not if made traditionally, but you have to make the effort to track down natural cocoa powder (almost all sold today is Dutch/alkalized) to interact with the buttermilk, cider vinegar, and baking soda. It's a very Southern thing but a proper red velvet cake is fantastic.
