I feel like there's no differentiation between his Kozelek and Sun Kil Moon stuff anymore. I had hoped one could be his bizarre ramblings and one his classic sadcore singing, but it seems both projects bleed into eachother now.

Seems he had a rough go in the summer of ‘15. Not that it excuses any lapse in judgment, but is he someone that is always like that? I don't know what you mean by either "Cancel culture" or "people separating art from artist," but the last time I saw him live he did spend a great deal of the between song banter harassing a woman in the front row who eventually got up and left. Feel free to put whatever label you would like on that. It was uncomfortable for me, and pretty messed up all around.
Add that to him writing a song about a journalist saying that the only reason she wrote a bad review is because he wouldn't sleep with her, and well... That's not really someone I want to support financially.

Kozelek is definitely an asshole. I saw him last fall for the first time and he couldn't help himself from making fun of the one guy who accompanied him; it was pretty awful to watch. I still listen to Ghosts of the Great Highway, Benji, and Admiral Fell Promises but nothing else post-2014 is even remotely listenable.

He is a renowned asshole and creep. Anecdotal but I’ve known a handful of women that have stories about him getting extremely angry when they turned down his advances.
