I have almost paid the sky high Discogs price for this many times but always held back bc it’s not essential. So this is big news for me. Anyone have this? Thoughts on sound quality?

Can someone give me a rundown on post-2000 Pumpkins and if any of those albums are worth my time?

Does Zwan count? That was the last one I really cared about. Corgan is pretty excellent and constructing compelling music so I would imagine there are gems on each post-millennial album but for me, I don’t need any of it on wax.

The Future Embrace has aged better than it should
Zeitgeist has some good songs and awful production
Oceania is weird but has some good songs
the one with Tommy Lee drumming is probably the best
Shiny and whatever is shiny and whatever - Silvery Somtimes is a good song
Cyr is kinda garbage

his two other solo albums are singer songwriter stuff that's not like the Pumpkins and some of it is ok but mostly forgettable
there's probably a good best of comp from all of them

How would anybody know what a record that hasn’t shipped sounds like?

I am going make the assumption that he’s referring to the original since this one states it’s a repress (as opposed to a reissue or remaster) obviously that might not be a one to one comparison but I would imagine that they are likely using the same plates so the potential would be for the repress to sound fairly similar to the original run. Hence him trying to gather info to see if it’s worthwhile from a vinyl collectors forum.
