I usually just buy whatever is cheapest to be honest...if they are all the same price then i try to go with the most limited one. i don't care much about color variant unless it's something that I think will affect sound (i.e. glow in the dark or glittery vinyl).

The more variants there are the less I care about them online. Meaning, I'll just pop over to my record store to grab it, no pressure.

I have a visa gift card that expires in April that I was considering using to get the urban exclusive of billie martens new album. I'm concerned it will constantly be placed on another backorder and then end up getting canceled. By the time I discover it's canceled my card will have expired so I will be unable to spend that money on a different album. I don't like buying from urban because of expensive shipping but am considering it since this is the only way to get a colored variant in the us.
 
Apparently, the Alice in Chains Dirt 30th Anniversary box sets are starting to ship / arrive. They're coming from Europe, so those of you on the right side of the pond will be getting yours soon. Those of us on the left side of the pond should be getting tracking info in the next few weeks.

I believe UO charges you at the time or purchase and not when it ships. But yeah, even with that, if it get's canceled it gets refunded to a dead card.

I haven't decided if I want the album yet. I have $73 left and I'm considering getting Frans new album on gold vinyl from bandcamp and with my remaining balance I'd either get the waeves debut album, billie martens album or something else that catches my eyes that is out before the end of April. I'd like to maximize my remaining balance so I can get as many albums as possible with what's left. I really don't want to pay almost $40 because of how expensive their shipping is. I'm traveling somewhere soon and if I may stop in that urban store to see if they have the album in stock. If urban were cheaper I'd definitely order from them more often. If I don't get billie martens album now I don't want it to be hard to find and really expensive like what happened with the urban outfitters version of five seconds flat by lizzy McAlpine. I really want lizzie McAlpines album but it's going for more than I like to spend on it.

I know you can cancel anytime before shipment but by the time I realize that there is a problem the card will be close to expiring and I won't have enough time to figure out what album to get inside. I don't want to be pressed to use my gift card and end up with a album I don't want which has happened in the past.
