I haven't checked in with this band in a while. Really nice guys and talented.
We had them play a house show a million years ago, then they booked a show downtown the next year. After that they just played my house again because they made a lot more money passing the hat around my living room.

I think the main criticism of Around the Sun when it first came out was that it didn't have the typical R.E.M. sound. I can somewhat agree with that but that doesn't mean there' not some really strong tracks on there.
