Yeah they’re great, I saw them at Lollapalooza after the hiatus but while it was still a touring festival opening for Incubus, Queens of stage Stone Age, and Jane’s Addiction.

I want then to reissue all the Phantom Planet stuff.

Didn’t ETR reissue the Phantom Planet stuff a year or two back?

2016 was the last reissue for 'The Guest.' I remember not buying it back then because the price was ridiculous. It was probably $30 or so which would be a great deal these days.

Longer ago than that, 2016 and there are two vinyl copies available on discogs (in the US) currently…

And from what I heard the vinyl the pressing were less than stellar.

That being said, Rooney was one of the bands I saw at my very first Coachella back in the day.

And to add to the Phantom Planet discussion, Rooney and PP both contain a Schwartzman brother

You know I enjoyed The Guest, feel like a lot of people; present company excluded, didn’t give t a fair shake due to “California” being the theme song to The OC but it was basically the album I’d hoped Weezer would of made to follow up The Green album. Also, the CD came with bonus material that was quite good including the title track…

I would absolutely love a 2xLP reissue that included the bonus cuts.

Though scrolling around Discogs I noticed earlier this year that they released something call The Guest Revisited that appears to be re-recorded version of the song original record so that makes me wonder if they have some sort of issue with either the rights to the original master or the master tapes are lost or damaged in some way.

Anyways, I would adore a reissue of their first three albums as all three are quite good, full on pop gems. Still amazed they weren’t more popular overall.
