Pre-Order Thread

Sure, after I already sucked it up and paid to have it shipped from across the pond. Darn. FOMO hit me again.

As much as I like Jason I'm not sure the extras are enticing enough for me to drop the $ for this.

Here is a hot take on Southeastern, Cover Me Up may be the worst song on the album, definitely the most overrated.
Speaking of hot takes: I think I might be the only one here that doesn't care for Isbell's songwriting. And yet I have three of his wife's albums.

I imagine you’re not alone in not digging Isbell around these parts. However, those of us that are fans are a pretty vocal lot.

Incidentally, I own four albums that feature Shires. The Christmas Record, Tale It Like a Man, the one with Bobbie Nelson and Highwomen

Soul Step Announces SSR-093!

Soul Step Records are announcing an exciting Soul Step Release with a returning artist. After the success of her release with Normaltown Records, “On The Ranch” we are getting to vinyl for the first time, “Long Game.”

“Long Game” is a well loved set of songs from Emily Nenni, many being her highest-streamed tracks in her career, with the title track having over a Million streams alone. Side A contains the full “Long Game” EP and on the B-side, we add the “I Owe You Nothing” tracks that Emily cut with Teddy & The Rough Riders around the same time. This makes for a great opportunity for all of Emily’s released music to be on vinyl.

This is an LP that is a Honky-Tonk & Americana dream. Emily is for fans of Margo Price, Nikki Lane, and Charley Crockett. This is a perfect album that chronologically follows “Hell of a Woman.” Emily does not stray far away from the smoky bar rooms and honky tonks with these tracks. These songs are set to get your mind right while kicking back with an ice cold Miller Lite. Warm pedal steel jumps around Nenni’s impeccable vocals that showcase her strength and vulnerability. It will not take you long to hear why Emily Nenni is one of the biggest emerging talents in the Country & Americana scene.

Soul Step Records will be releasing Emily Nenni's “Long Game” to Soul Step Subscribers on Friday, August 11th. The standard vinyl will be available in indie and big box retailers on the same day.

This LP is available to stream on your favorite music service right now.

There will be a limited to 100 color vinyl variant in addition to the standard black vinyl. Soul Step Records highly encourages fans to sign up to be a Soul Step Subscriber for free, as most of our limited edition vinyl sell out before it goes on sale to the general public.
