Pre-Order Thread

I don’t know what the deal is, but it’s their banner. Don’t know if they are new pressings or what…

The complete box in 2011 after Johnny Marr remastered them was rhino as was all the breakouts that are still the version in print from 2012. I think it might just be that they’ve added some stock to the rhino storefront.

I remember seeing it and passing thinking I would pick it up down the line, and when I was ready it was gone. FOMO wasn’t a thing back then.

In all honesty it was 2 years before I got a turntable so it was just a pretty thing behind the counter at the record store. But yeah less demand and FOMO in those days so smaller pressing runs and once they were gone they really were gone!

Soul Step Announces SSR-097!

After two successful releases with the LP’s “Slow Blink” and “Impossible Daze,” Soul Step Records partners again with Cincinnati’s fuzz & psych masters IN THE PINES. Their new LP, “Painting By Numbers” will be released on digital and vinyl on Friday, November 3rd 2023.

Embrace the fuzz and prepare for the journey ahead on “Painting By Numbers.” In The Pines are for fans of Ty Segall, King Tuff, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. The band continues to show its strength by continuously keeping their listeners on their toes. In The Pines continue to evolve with every record showcasing the depth of talent they possess. On “Painting By Numbers,” In The Pines plug in their guitars and showcase the psychedelic prowess across these expansive Ten tracks. The amount of sound that In The Pines creates deep in these grooves are layered, hazy, and thick. With the guitar tone, reverb, and deep nuance in production - this LP is great for a deep listen.

Soul Step Records will be releasing In The Pines’ “Painting By Numbers” LP to Soul Step Subscribers on Friday, November 3rd. The standard vinyl will be available in indie and big box retailers on the same day. There will be a limited to 100 color vinyl variant in addition to the standard black vinyl. Soul Step Records highly encourages fans to sign up to be a Soul Step Subscriber for free, as most of our limited edition vinyl sell out before it goes on sale to the general public.
